A way off the 9 to 5
Trade the hamster wheel for open water.
Escape Hatch Coaching helps people with a good job and a quiet itch for more start the business that gets them off the 9 to 5, at their own pace, on their own hours.
No hype. No guru nonsense. A real plan you can start this week.
Sound familiar?
“Same commute. Same desk. Same day, on repeat, and if I do this for another 40 years, I’ll explode.”
The wheel
Wake, commute, grind, commute, repeat. The work pays the bills but it has no soul, and the sameness has quietly drained the excitement out of everything else.
The ceiling
You’re climbing a ladder that only ever leads to a slightly bigger version of the same cage. Financial freedom feels decades away, if it’s coming at all.
The numbness
You’re not burned out. You’re under-used. And being dull at work has a way of making you dull with your partner, your kids, and your friends.
Give it five more years and they’ll have you just comfortable enough that leaving feels impossible. Comfortable enough to stay, never free enough to live. That’s the trap, and you can feel the door starting to close.
Testimonials
Don't just take our word for it.
Andy makes growing a business feel simple and manageable. He helped me stop going in circles about my pricing, look at the actual numbers, and build a business around what I need to earn and the life I want to live. I love that he’s not just focused on business success, he cares about creating a life you actually enjoy.

Through the hatch
The life waiting on the other side.
Not a fantasy. A version of your ordinary week where your time finally belongs to you.
- Set your own schedule, and actually keep it.
- Coach the little league team. Show up for the school play.
- Have lunch with your kids in the cafeteria, on a Tuesday.
- See a retirement that starts well before 70, and travel while you can enjoy it.
Your idea off the ground and your first income in the door. Not a promise. Proof. The kind that turns “someday” into a decision you get to make from strength.
The course
What do I get with the course?
Let’s be straight
Why this isn’t another internet scam.
You’ve sat through the corporate trainings. You’ve seen the “guru with a YouTube channel.” Healthy skepticism is welcome here.
Fair. So you talk to a real human first, keep your income the whole time, and never bet the mortgage on a stranger’s promise.
You don’t rush it. You build in the margins of the life you already have, a couple of focused hours a week, and let it compound.
You won’t. You get direct answers and a room full of people at your exact stage, asking your exact questions.
If your first week doesn’t move you forward, it isn’t for you, and you’ll know that in seven days, not seven months.

Your guide
Meet Andy Sistrunk.
Andy Sistrunk is the founder and lead coach at Escape Hatch Coaching, where he guides people through every stage of the business journey, starting a business in the hours around a day job, scaling one they've already built, selling for the next chapter, or setting it on autopilot to sail.
His whole philosophy comes down to stepping, not leaping: a clear, proven route out of the 9-to-5 rather than a reckless jump. A Florida native who grew up on the water, Andy is happiest on a boat with his wife, their son, and their dog, living the exact freedom he helps his clients build.
No hype and no guru act. Just a straight route he has walked himself.
